Nintendo is ramping up the ante with its new latest limited-time event.

The popular Japanese video game developing company recently announced it had launched the new Mario vs. Luigi Tour limited-time event for its Mario Kart Tour game for players to enjoy and earn event-exclusive items.

The Mario vs. Luigi limited-time event runs from June 14 until June 27 at 10:59 PM PT.

Nintendo mentioned in its announcement that the launching of its Mario vs. Luigi Tour allows players to choose which of the Mario brothers they like; they'll all get a chance to earn event-exclusive rewards in-game regardless of who they choose.

To show which of the Brothers they like more, players can choose characters who are members of either Mario's or Luigi's team to play as during the tour, per the official Mario Kart Tour Twitter page. Naturally, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, and Mario character variations belong to Mario's team, while Koopas, Princess Daisy, Princess Rosalina, Waluigi, and Luigi character variations belong to Luigi's team.

Once players have chosen which character they want to play as (and which Mario Brother they like more), they can look forward to three new courses to race on, which are the N64 Mario Raceway, GBA Luigi Circuit, and GCN Waluigi Stadium.

While racing, players can take on challenges that may earn them Team Points/Tokens once accomplished, which are critical to winning the brotherly rivalry the event is based on.

Playing through the event will allow players to unlock event-exclusive in-game rewards, such as the newly added Gold Warrior Wagon, Silver Warrior Wagon, Black Shielded Speedster, Gold Shielded Speedster, and Waluigi Racer Mk.2 karts. The event also brings the Red and Green Emblem gliders and the 1-Up Mushroom Balloon.

Nintendo also added the Monty Mole Mii Racing Suit and Waluigi Racing Suit to the game as unlockables for players to race with. The latter, which is a ranked reward, allows players to hurl two to three bomb-ombs at once, while the former comes with a Mushroom Cannon special skill to speed up.

Interestingly, the Waluigi Racing Suit comes with a matching Waluigi Racer Mk. 2 kart, which greatly increases Jump Boost's boost time and points earned for performing one.

One Last Tour

Unfortunately, some Mario Kart Tour players will have Mario vs. Luigi Tour as the last event they can participate in before they can't play the game anymore due to the game's change in supported OS versions.

According to Nintendo's announcement, the Mario Kart Tour will be updated sometime in July for it to exclusively support Android 5.1 or later versions for Android devices, and iOS 12 or later for iPhones. As such, players using Android devices or iPhones supporting earlier versions of their respective OS will no longer be able to play Mario Kart Tour on their device - they have to update their device's OS or get a later phone to continue playing.
