Meta to Launch AI-Powered Chatbots to Boost Engagement

Meta is gearing up to launch its series of AI-powered chatbots in an attempt to boost engagements on the company's social media platforms. 

Report for Reuters revealed that Meta is working to create AI chatbots with distinct and various personalities. 

In addition, Meta is expected start rolling out the chatbots as early as September.

Meta's AI-Powered Chatbots Prototype 

Meta has been working on the development of various chat prototypes that are capable of holding human-like conversations with the company's almost 4 billion users. 

The company named these chatbots as "personas" and are set to take on various characters ranging from Abraham Lincoln to a traveling surfer. 

Aside from boosting user engagement, the chatbots will be used to collect extensive data based on the user's interest. This is nothing new as social media platforms are known to collect interests to create accurate content and advertisements. 

Meta's AI Roadmap

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that more information will be released during the company's Connect developer event in September. 

The company is set to launch various AI products such as AI agents for personal assistance, for customer service, and productivity assistant. 

As of now, Meta is seen preparing its other generative AI features, starting with Instagram.
