Olivia Rodrigo introduced Instagram's new feature which allows users to add music to a carousel post upon the release of her new song.

Instagram Adds Music to Grid Post
On Instagram's latest update, users can attach any song of their liking as a soundtrack for their carousel post containing multiple photos or videos. Previously, users can only add music to their Stories and Reels.
In a screenshot of Olivia Rodrigo's post, the artist attached a soundtrack featuring her new song, "bad idea right?"
On a trial post, users can pick and browse for songs of their liking which will serve as a background song or theme song for a specific post.
Instagram Expands Other Features
Instagram also released other features such as a new incentive to make Reels and Stories such as the "Add Yours" sticker. This feature allows users to interact with others by writing or responding to a prompt. Original artists or creators can pin up to 10 reels. These chose fans will get a notification if selected by the artist.
The platform also expanded its collaborative publishing feature and now it includes up to three other accounts as the co-authors of the post. In addition, Instagram also debuted it label feature for AI-generated posts.
