Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro Launch

The wait is over for the next Pixel phones after Google made an official announcement on their Threads account for Google Pixel. Last October 2022, we witnessed how Google refined its Pixel lineup with Pixel 7. This year, Google might be ready to level it up some more.

Prior to the official launch, some fans noticed that the Pixel 8 Pro was leaked by Google itself. In a screenshot, a man is seen holding a Pixel 8 Pro phone in Porcelain. While there has not been any verification yet, some people pointed out that it was already indicated in the image's alt-text description.

Regardless, Google has already a history of leaking their Pixel lineup way ahead of its official announcement. For instance, a rumored promotional video was leaked earlier this month which featured new tools such as the Audio Magic Eraser and a phone in Sea color.

Google Ends Pixel Pass

Aside from the announcement, Google has reportedly discontinued the Pixel Pass subscription pass prior to the launch of the new phones. Pixel Pass was announced along side with Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in 2021. The subscription allowed Pixel phone users to pay a monthly fee for YouTuber Premium, Google One, and Google Play Pass in one fee.

On the other hand, existing Pixel Pass subscribers will be able to enjoy the plan until the end of its duration. For those who will purchase Pixel devices, they will not be entitled to buy the subscription plan anymore.
