Copy Video Frame on YouTube

Taking screenshots on YouTube usually requires the right timing and some cropping to avoid the progress bar of the video. In addition, screenshots can result to lower-quality images which affects how the intended still-image should be seen.

The copy video frame feature allows users to capture high-quality and non-overlayed frame from any YouTube video. Google came up with this feature to help students capture important frames from their recorded lectures in less time.

To try the feature, simply right-click twice on the video when paused and select "Copy Video Frame." The feature is now available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and ChromeOS.

Copy Video Frame Can Still Improve

While it is a great tool for many, the feature is still on its early stages. For now, you can paste the copied image in supported text field within the browser. On the other hand, you cannot save the copied image as a file yet.

Currently, this could be a great alternative and time-saving technique for those who are fond of grabbing still images on YouTube for work or for school. The copy video frame captures the video's streaming resolution which secures a full maximum resolution when copying.
