Google Pixel 8 Lineup Price Leak Reveals More Expensive Units

Leaked prices for Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro revealed a slight increase prior to its official launch on October 4.

Google to Increase Price for Pixel 8 Series 

According to 9to5Google report, Google will be implementing an increase to both Pixel 8 devices in the US market. Hence, the Pixel 8 will be priced at $699 while the Pixel 8 Pro will retail at $999. 

The leaked prices will be a $100 increase compared to the Pixel 7 price which retails at $599 and Pixel 7 Pro which retails at $899. Regardless of the upcoming price, Pixel phone are still comparatively cheaper than other phones like Samsung Galaxy S23. 

On the other hand, Google also increased the cost of Pixel 7a by $50. The newest Pixel phones will officially debut on October 4 and will hit the stores by October 12. 

Everything We Know About Pixel 8 Devices So Far 

For months, Pixel 8 phones have been the center of leaks. Some of it includes the Audio Eraser, which was featured in a video leak, that focused on removing background noise. In addition, Pro Controls might also be coming to the camera settings of Pixel 8 giving more room for photo enthusiasts. There are also AI advanced tools such as the Magic Editor which allows users to alter a photo. 

Aside from that a full breakdown of camera specs was revealed. Pixel 8 Pro is said to feature an auto-focus selfie camera with 10.5MP sensor. Meanwhile, cameras for both Pixel 8 devices will have a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.68, a 1/1.31-inch sensor, and 1.2 μm pixel width. 

The Pixel 8 will be equipped with 12MP ultra wide camera with auto-focus. On the other hand, Pixel 8 Pro will get the 48MP ultra wide camera and a 48MP telephoto camera at 5x.
