Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: What to Look Out For in Dogtown

The new Phantom Liberty DLC is full of new side quests and the main mission will get you thinking about who you can trust. With all that, you might miss some important things that are just as important. Here are some things to look out for in extension.

Herold the Vendor

There is a vendor in the marketplace in Dogtown that's unlike other firearm dealers. Herold, who is the borged-out gun enthusiast, can provide you with iconic weapons that are new to the game, even the ones you might've missed before.

For instance, you can buy the pink Lizzie iconic pistol from him in case you missed it in Lizzie's Bar. You can even buy Yorinobu Arasaka's firearm if you forgot to acquire it during the mission in Konpeki Plaza with Jackie.

Relic Terminals

Thanks to Songbird, you can upgrade a new perk system for the Relic. You'll find several terminals all around Dogtown and some of them are near locations where quests take place, such as the first time you meet Reed Solomon. You'll find it just a few meters behind his parked car.

There are terminals that are a bit harder to find, so you'll have to explore the area to find them. Once you find a terminal, you can download the operational data which will grant you one Relic point. The main abilities will cost you three points, while the subcategories will cost you one.

Airdrops

If you happen to be strolling around Dogtown and see red smoke, that means that an airdrop container is nearby. You can follow the smoke to find it, but you'll have to fight off enemies before you can open it. The number of enemies usually depends on the kind of loot the airdrop has.

Once you've defeated all threats, you can try to open the box, but you'll first have to hack it using the breach protocol. The airdrop holds various items like rare to iconic weapons, clothing items, shards that upgrade your stats, money, and bullets.

If you see a small steering wheel icon in the mini-map, that means that there is a vehicle that you can steal and deliver for El Capitan. Some of them are easy enough while others will require you to engage in road combat or time limits.

You can skip the side quests entirely, but you'll miss out on a lot of rewards. Depending on the mission and whether you finish it under El Capitan's instructions, you get rewards like money shards, skill shards, ammo, and most importantly, discounts on vehicle purchases.

Not all vehicles in Phantom Liberty have mounted weapons. Without them, you'll have to resort to your own arsenal of weapons to fight off enemies in road combat. Some of the vehicles available in the base game have this feature, along with the new cars in the DLC.

Select vehicles come with regular bullets that shoot from in front of the car, while others come with missile launchers as well. For example, you can purchase the Hellhound through the Autofixer website. There are 12 weaponized vehicles, half of which come with missile launchers.
