Gigantic's Comeback After Five Years

Gigantic was originally released in 2017 as an Xbox One and PC Exclusive. However, the game had a tough year after it struggled to break through the market which resulted in the removal and shutting down of the game.

Now fans are getting excited as Gearbox Publishing sent out email invitations to past Gigantic players. According to the letter, the game will be returning for a weekend for Gearbox's Throwback Event. Players can relive their gaming experience this October 5 and 6 for the one-time return of the game.

While the game will only be playable to select users, Gearbox assured that the Throwback Event will feature additional updates to Gigantic that were not seen before. Game Rant reported that it will include the new Rush game mode, revamped tutorials, progression, customization, and Fortune Card system.

Gigantic's Future

A surprising twist was revealed on the invited players as they will have to agree to a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) which will prevent them from talking about the event or sharing any details from the event. There are currently no detailed explanations as to why players need to sign an NDA for the event.

Some players are guessing and hoping that Gearbox must be testing new features before fully reviving the game. While nothing can be confirmed yet, one can hope that the free-to-play shooter game will be able to penetrate the saturated gaming market today.
