Apple Prepares for Vision Pro Launch

While not much has been revealed on the exact arrival of Apple's mixed-reality headset, the company has revealed before that it could be ready sometime in early 2024. However, recent news might confirm that it could be released at a much later date.

Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the company sent out a memo to retail employees. The memo is an application for a secretive "product training event" in Cupertino, California. The event is expected to be a course to teach retail employees about Vision Pro and train them on the complex procedures involved.

The selected team members will travel and participate in the training during the first months of 2024. Afterward, it is expected that these employees will deliver training and ongoing support to fellow store team members. "This is a group opportunity for those who have a deep passion for demonstrating Apple products and teaching others," the memo stated.

Apple Vision Pro is Complicated

Given its nature, the Vision Pro is expected to be the most complicated rollout in Apple's history. In fact, the company already confirmed that flagship Apple retail stores will have dedicated hands-on areas. Meanwhile, other stores might get one or two demo units.

Apple is also leaning toward giving an in-store assemble for the Vision Pro customers. This will be similar to how Apple Watches are sold in-store which assures that the device and accessories are the perfect match for the customer. The Vision Pro requires a lot of custom fitting such as the bands, light seals, and even prescription lenses, if needed.

With all this in place, people who might want to see and purchase the Apple Vision Pro might have to wait a little longer in 2024. The company might finally announce the official release date once the training event is done.
