The Finals Cheating Concerns

In an announcement, Embark detailed that the cheaters have been plaguing The Finals due to a technical error on its end. The bug reportedly stopped banning players who have broken the rules.

For the past few days, the gaming community has been enraged due to the increasing number of cheaters in the game. It also escalated to the point where fans are asking the developers to region-lock China since most of the reported cheaters are under Mandarin names.

"We're now nearing a solution to this bug, and we're already begun re-upping our anti-cheat measures again. Thanks for your patience as we continue to sort through issues," the game studio announced.

Embark Studios Promises Fair Space

The Finals have been recently released on Steam as a free-to-play shooter with a twist. The gameplay is known for its game show theme that challenges players in escalating tournaments.

The game quickly became popular on the platform with Steam recording over 267,000 concurrent players during its beta launch and 200,000 concurrent players 12 hours after the full game was released.

As of writing, Embark has already pledged to work on the issue. Most likely, the game developer will be able to come up with the solution in the following days. "Keeping the game a smooth, safe, and fair space for players is our biggest priority," Embark reminded.
