Ubisoft is Expected to Reveal More About Assassin’s Creed Red This May

Ubisoft is having a good run with its titles as its latest releases, particularly Assassin's Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown have all gotten good reviews from critics, but the company is not stopping there as they gear up to announce updates for more upcoming titles.

More Details for Assassin's Creed Red

Ubisoft has a lot of titles up its sleeve, especially when it comes to Assassin's Creed titles. While there are rumors of Codename Hexe and Codename Jade, the earliest game we'll see among the list is Assassin's Creed Codename Red.

With Ubisoft's financial reports for this fiscal year's third quarter, we can already see which titles we can expect soon. The company is expected to reveal several games in its upcoming Ubisoft Forward event, all of which are set to be released between 2024 to 2025.

The event will be held in May, and not only will it reveal the expected video game titles, but more details about them as well, as reported by Engadget. There's very little known about the upcoming Assassin's Creed game, only that it will be set in Feudal Japan.

The video game company is not stopping with Codename Red, as it has more games to offer for the fiscal year. It will also reveal more about Star Wars Outlaws, which they claim is a genuine open-world game based on the popular franchise.

The Star Wars game will also arrive earlier than any other titles, with reports saying that it could be released within the year. As for Assassin's Creed Red, it is expected to arrive in the first half of 2025 around April.

Future Assassin's Creed Titles

As mentioned above, Ubisoft has a couple of Assassin's Creed games in development, but the first we'll see from the list would be Codename Red, which is set in Ancient Japan. The trailer already revealed what our assassin could look like as he dons a shinobi outfit.

Ubisoft Senior Producer Marc-Alexis Cote said that the Japanese-themed game will "let players explore one of their most-awaited settings ever" as players get the chance to "live a very powerful Shinobi fantasy," as mentioned in Games Radar.

There are very limited titles when it comes to katana-wielding protagonists such as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Ghost of Tsushima, and in both games, we already know how well-received they were based on the theme.

It will be developed by Ubisoft Quebec, which was also behind Assassin's Creed titles like Syndicate and Odyssey. Both had stunning visuals of Industrial London and Ancient Greece, so we might also be seeing a stunning Feudal Japan in out future.

Even after that, there are already other Assassin's Creed titles that come with their own interesting themes. For instance, Codename Hexe is rumored to be set during the Holy Roman Empire at the height of witch trials.

On the other hand, Codename Jade will take place in China during the Qin dynasty and is rumored to be the first mobile Assassin's Creed game in the franchise. There's little known about both Hexe and Jade, but Ubisoft might also drop a few hints in the upcoming event.
