Samsung Introduces Wireless Charging Monitor

Korean mobile company Samsung has introduced the world's first and only wireless charging monitor. The company has developed a screen that allows users to charge wireless charging-compatible devices.

According to a report by IBN Live, the wireless charging device has full HD monitors. It will be available as a 27-inch screen or 24-inch screen. All the user needs to do is place his phone on the stand's charging area.

Charging will immediately be initiated after. The screen is also equipped with 178-degree viewing angle and an anti-flicker gaming technology. The feature protects viewers' eyes as they use the monitor.

"Through the integration of wireless mobile charging technology, our innovative SE370 monitor dramatically improves efficiency, convenience and connectivity at home and at work - representing another significant milestone in our long history of industry-firsts." Said Seok-gi Kim, Samsung Electronics' senior vice president for Visual Display Business in the company's official statement.

The wireless charging screen also features an Eco-Saving Plus function that adjusts monitor brightness for a more energy efficient user experience of the device.

The charging monitor can be used for devices which have wireless charging capacities. This is a match for Samsung's new flagships, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, which have both been rumored to support wireless charging. The phones are said to be released in the IFA this September.

Samsung has had a tradition of launching gadgets in the IFA. Although the company has yet to confirm a launch date for the wireless charging monitor, speculations point to a September release.

The screen is also compatible to Windows 10. Microsoft is reported to introduce a line of Windows 10 smartphones to be released in the last quarter of the year, as part of the platform's roll out.

Samsung has not announced prices for the screen. The wireless charging monitor is said to have its release in the U.S. and Europe in September this year.
