'Persona 5' Update: Game Arrives In Japan In September; International Release Unknown

It seems "Persona 5" has finally acquire a release date, only that it will be in Japan (well, at least). The highly anticipated role-playing game from Atlus is set to arrive in the country come Sep. 15. However, 15 days after that, Square Enix will also unleash "Final Fantasy XV"!

According to Push Square, September is, without a doubt, a big month for PlayStation users in the Land of the Rising Sun. "Persona 5" will arrive and so is "Final Fantasy XV" -- the latter being released worldwide.

While the Japanese are certainly stoked for what is about to happen, fans all over the world are still waiting for the international release date of "Persona 5." Also, people from Japan can now pre-order the game starting May 6.

For those who cannot wait, Atlus revealed that "Persona 5" will appear in the upcoming E3 2016. The event will run from June 14 to June 16 in Los Angeles, California.

IGN, on the other hand, reported that the 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition for "Persona 5" has been announced. It will include a soundtrack from previous installments, art book and a special collaboration DLC set. The said set can be purchased at 13,800 yen (around $128). A Western release for the Collector's Edition has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Atlus revealed that the game's anime version is also expected to arrive in Japan come September. Well, this is definitely a huge treat for the Japanese fans.

"Persona 5" was supposed to arrive in PlayStation 3, as announced way back in 2013. It originally had a Winter 2014 release date. In fact, not only was it announced for PlayStation 4 but it was also expected to arrive in the West. Unfortunately, it was delayed and the most recent possible release date could be this year.

Furthermore, Atlus has released a new trailer (below) for the upcoming game. The user interface is exceptional while the "Persona" elements are well intact.
