Asus Zenfone Deluxe 3 vs Samsung S7: Does Price Really Matter?

Samsung has been killing it with the Galaxy S7. Its design, specs and features have become somewhat of a standard across the smartphone market. And yet, there is no denying that other players in the market have been churning out great competition - one of them being the ASUS Zenfone 3 Deluxe.

According to Nashville Chatter Class, both units have a super AMOLED displays. The difference in the screen is that the Zenfone 3 Deluxe is 5.70 inches with 386ppi of pixel density, while the Samsung S7 is 5.10 inches with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Both flagships also come with expandable storage through a microSD slot. Both also have fingerprint scanners and the latest connectivity options - a USB Type C port for the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, and the microUSB port for the Samsung S7. They are both also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor.

As much as they are the same, however, there are also some key differences. These are important to take into consideration, the prince difference is around $170, with the Samsung S7 being the more expensive option.

According to NDTV Gadgets, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe has 6GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Its expandable storage is only compatible with an extra 246GB of space. It has a 23 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera.

It is powered by Android 6.0 Marshamallow OS and its fingerprint scanner is found at the back of the unit.

Meanwhile, the Samsung S7 has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. An external SD card of 200GB can be attached. The rear camera of the Samsung S7 is only 12 megapixels, with a front camera with 5 megapixels.

The Samsung flagship device comes out of the box with Android v6.0.1. By purchasing the S7, users are paying for QHD display, IP68 certification and wireless charging.
