Pokémon Go Fans Disappointed With Latest Game Update

Niantic, creator of the worldwide hit game Pokémon Go, has released an update but it appears that there are some surprise changes and players around the globe are complaining that they are finding it tougher to catch and locate Pokémon.

Some updates are good news including how the app allows players to re-customize their characters and have balanced Pokémon sets of moves. Updates also improved some spawn points and allows players to lock their preferred Pokémon to avoid unintentional transfers. The bad news is that Niantic removed the renowned three-step feature and it leaves players guessing where the exact location of the Pokémon is, Gadgets reported.

At first, the feature was thought of as a bug, but the developer clarified that it is indeed a feature. It has been disabled intentionally un the latest update because it is causing too much load on the server. During the game's beta, it used to tell players the exact meter distance of the Pokémon but by the time of its release, it has been replaced with a step system. With no fix yet, removing the step system may be significant, especially to the new players. Removing the step system unloads the long running problem in the server and also avoids players to trespass in dangerous area. However, some players are reportedly not comfortable with the new tracking system.

Another complain about the newest update is the difficulty in capturing Pokémon. Most players cries out their disappointment upon requiring more Pokeballs to catch a Pokémon that has low combat points. Even worse is how they run so easily especially when you are in the higher level.

After this tons of negative feedback, it will be interesting to know how Niantic will respond. Currently, Pokemon Go's latest version received 29,829 two-star ratings on the App Store in the US with Google Play's rating reflecting comparable views, Forbes reported.
