After quite some time since revealing their plans, the team behind Dark Souls 3 finally has something to offer to the fans. Next week, players can expect a big reveal from both FromSoftware and Bandai Namco. It could be the much awaited first DLC of the title. Or perhaps, a brand new merchandise gig. Either way, the community is certainly all hyped up.
According to GameSpot, the Dark Souls 3 developers took to Twitter to tease what seems to be a "major announcement." However, nothing specific was given out, though fans were told to wait until August 24 arrives. For sure, this will get more interesting as the day goes by.
There is a higher possibility that the first Dark Souls 3 DLC might finally be unveiled. This is most especially that such scenario has been in the rumor mill for quite some time already. Moreover, with the developers not showcasing the content in this year's Gamescom, everything just seems to fall into places.
Dark Souls 3 was first launched sometime in March. Since then, it became a worldwide hit, with over millions of copies being shipped internationally. The rumored DLC will be the first out of the expected two. The other one is said to arrive sometime in early 2017 if all speculations are true.
The first Dark Souls 3 DLC is expected to introduce new features -- from maps to weapons to bosses. As of now, both FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have remained mum about anything regarding the forthcoming content (apart from the tweet, of course).
VG247, on the other hand, notes that the major Dark Souls 3 announcement could be some sort of merchandise effort. Or maybe, the developers will pull up a stunt together with Sony and reveal a couple of planned add-ons.
Until August 24 arrives, Dark Souls 3 players will surely continue to speculate whatever the upcoming announcement will be. Well, hope it will be the first DLC of the game.
