Thinner, Better Apple Watch Coming Soon? Device To Look The Same But With Improved Specs

Apple's event is less than a week away, but this has not stopped rumors from showing up once again. The iPhone 7 has been a part of multiple unconfirmed stories over the past months, but this time, its Apple Watch 2's time to get the spotllight.

Apple Watch 2 Specs

A recent leak about the Apple Watch showed the device's internal parts. TechRadar reported about a video where an international electronics shop is supposedly giving a walkthrough of the watch's components. The video showed the Apple Watch 2's hardware and how it was improved from the previous model.

Apple Watch 2 Battery

According to the report, the Apple Watch 2 could get a battery bump. If the video is true, the watch will have a 23 percent increase in watt-hour rating. However, this doesn't always mean that the battery life will also increase. According to Techradar, this could also mean that more power absorbing features may be added, like GPS and the likes. This would make the battery life of Apple Watch 2 the same as the previous one's.

Apple Watch 2 Body

The leak suggests that the new Apple Watch will be noticeably thinner. This is despite an increase in battery size. Furthermore, the watch could also include an additional chipset, that might as well be for the 3D Touch feature that Apple is popular for. However, The Verge reports that the Apple Watch 2 may not come with cellular connections.

Apple Watch 2 Design

Despite all the changes leaked in the video, Apple may keep the original design of the Apple Watch. If the report is true, then Apple is taking things one step at a time in the development of the wearable. As they focus on internal improvements, they ditch the idea of changing the design. This would only mean that the circular Apple Watch that fans are hoping for will not yet happen in the second edition of the Apple Watch.
