It has been confirmed by the creator of "Grey's Anatomy" herself that one of the show's characters, Arizona Robbins will be getting a new love interest in the upcoming season 13. Shonda Rhimes said that she is planning to give Arizona a woman that will be rooted by the fans of the show.
Amidst confirmation of a new love story set for Arizona in the upcoming season 13 of"Grey's Anatomy," she won't be seen during the first few episodes of the season. The actress who plays Arizona, Jessica Campshaw recently gave birth last May and is taking a few weeks off from work to spend time with her family. Rest assured, she will definitely be coming back.
Following the exit of Arizona's main love interest in the series, Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez), Arizona will be given another love of her life. Reports claim that the character of Arizona was supposed to get her love interest sometime during season 12, similar to Callie. However, for reasons untold, the plans were pushed back to season 13 instead.

Arizona was going through a lot with the custody battle she had with her ex-partner, Callie over their daughter Sophia. Even though Sara Ramirez will no longer be a part of the show, her character will remain in the storyline as they both share custody of their daughter.
Shonda Rhimes said that she is excited for what she has planned for Arizona's lovelife in the upcoming season, saying that they will definitely be having fun with the story. The fans of the show believe that Arizona deserves a new love in her life, following the events that transpired in her life the past seasons.
