‘Prison Break’ Season 5 To Air Sooner Than Expected; Revival Season Tops New Broadcast Programs' Survey

“Prison Break,” due to soaring popularity, may release its fifth installment earlier than anticipated. Another overwhelming success of the hit series is its top rank among new broadcast programs.

Revival Season To Air In December
In a related article of iTech Post, the serial drama series is slated for a premiere in spring of 2017. Although the creators of the show are yet to release an official announcement on its definite air date, they have bits of clues that could thrill our senses.

A recent report revealed that the show is already on its post – production status which means that episode 1 of season 5 will most likely hit our screens on December. If this comes to fruition, our Christmas will be more than joyous and adventurous.

“Prison Break” Has A Huge Fanbase In Social Media
Despite a long hiatus of the series, it is forecasted to be a global blockbuster hit.

According to a study by analytics firm ListenFirst Media, the revival season has produced more than 10 times the user engagement on major social networks (May – August 2016) than any other new broadcast show this season with 19.5 million total engagements.

“Prison Break” remarkably outpaced NBC’s “This Is Us” which earned 1.56 million engagements and CBS’ “Mac Gyver” with 558,073.

"I think this version is more worldly, it's heavy shit. The first season was heavy, but this is real heavy shit, because we're dealing with ISIS, we're dealing with ISA. And on top of that as the background, I'm trying to get my brother out of a Yemen prison - one of the worst prisons in the world. So you have all that going on - it's on another level," actor Dominic Purcell explained on the storyline of the new season.

That juicy bite of Lincoln Burrows will surely thrill us with powerful action and heartbreaking drama.
