On September 7, Apple announced the release of its newest wearable, the Apple Watch Series 2. The Apple Watch Series 2

As PC Mag notes, the Apple Watch Series 2 virtually looks the same aesthetically, but the Cupertino-based company has made some very important changes to its internal system. Nevertheless, there is one change that was made to its skeleton - the wearable now comes in a ceramic case option. It also comes in two sizes, one that is 38mm and another that is 42mm. Reportedly, the unit is waterproof up to 50m of water.

The Apple Watch Series 2 also comes out of the box with watchOS 3, which in itself has plenty of new features. One such feature is the ability to handwrite on the screen in order to write messages, as well as an SOS function to alert emergency contacts about the wearer's location.

The new wearable is powered by a dual-core S2 processor and a GPU that theoretically runs 50 percent faster than its predecessor.

It has an accelerometer, built in speakers, a GPS system, gyroscope and a heart rate monitor. The Apple Watch 2 also able to track movements while biking and swimming. The unit starts at $369.
