Fans of the worldwide hit "Frozen" were ecstatic upon learning that a sequel would soon be in production and they just couldn't let it go (pun intended.)

However, Disney seems to be relatively quiet about the alleged "Frozen 2" with very little updates about the upcoming flick. This led to many speculations including rumors that Disney might have changed their mind and decided not to push through with it.

There were also reports claiming that the reason behind the "silence" about the upcoming sequel is the sudden decision to go through a casting call for new actors to join the story. It even went as far as claiming that "Frozen 2" would no longer revolve around Elsa and Anna. Instead, the story will focus on a prince in search for the girl of his dreams. Plus, rumors about Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Josh Gad would no longer take part of the franchise also surfaced online.

However, actress Kristen Bell, who voiced Princess Anna in "Frozen," clarified that those rumors were not true.

"They are not rushing the script." the actress revealed. "They have the luxury to not rush because everyone is going to be excited whether it comes out tomorrow or in five years. They're making it as perfect as they need it to be and we're on call to start recording whenever."

Bell also added that the writers are working really hard to meet the expectations of the fans particularly with the storyline. When asked about Anna and Elsa's relationship as sisters in "Frozen 2", Bell revealed, "I'm sure that they [writers] will have to challenge their relationship in a new way and I'm sure that they will have to have an even bigger event to prove why kindness and familial love is paramount."

It is an obvious fact that "Frozen" wouldn't be what it is without Elsa and Anna, thus expecting them to return for "Frozen 2" is inevitable. However, writers must come up with a more creative story than the original one to gain the same, if not, even more success.

"Frozen 2" is slated for release in late 2018.
