Google's October 4 To Showcase Pixel X, Pixel XL, Daydream VR And Much More

Google is just a few days away from its much-anticipated Google press event where the company is most likely to unveil its newest arsenal of gadgets. Google's new Pixel X and Pixel XL smartphones, codenamed Sailfish and Marlin, are the two of the gadgets that will be released in the event.

Google Challenges Apple iPhones

The two new phones will be Google's proof that it is pursuing its challenge against Apple for dominance in the smartphone industry. The Pixel phone is said to feature a 12 MP back camera and an 8 MP front camera together with a fingerprint reader.

It is also most likely that the Google Pixel X will ship with a 5-inch screen and the Pixel XL with a 5.5-inch screen as well as an aluminium and glass construction. On the other hand, the Nexus 5X phone will have a body made entirely of plastic.

Price speculations on the two Pixel phones start at $649. On the other hand, the Google Nexus 6P, the current flagship phone of Google is priced at $500.

Sustainability Of Google Phones

If ever Google continues to take its pricing even higher like that of Apple's, then surely, it will result in a negative reputation. Take note that Google is mainly known for offering low-cost devices.

However, it is also important to note that the Pixel X and Pixel XL might not have the capability of beating the iPhone 7 or the Galaxy Note 7 if the devices are not waterproof.

With these phones come speculations that another VR innovation in the likes of the Google Daydream VR will also be showcased in the Google event this October 4.
