‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12 Premieres With Thomas Gibson And Other Returning Agents; Luke Galvez Debuts With Vengeance

Heavy action is just around the corner waiting to be unleashed.

The crime drama “Criminal Minds” season 12 premieres with the exciting return of Thomas Gibson and the rest of the special agents.

What Fate Awaits Aaron Hotchner?
Following the controversial termination of Thomas Gibson (BAU Unit Chief and Senior Supervisory Special Agent Aaron Hotchner) from the series due to an on-set altercation with the showrunner, the long-time followers of the series are more than eager to know what lies ahead of Hotchner’s character in the first 2 episodes of “Criminal Minds” season 12.

International Business Times noted that the previous season left a confused Hotchner after he was arrested by an unsub Eric Rawdon but no further details were provided as to how his departure from the show will take place.

Hotcher’s fans would surely miss him after being with the show for 11 long years.

Meet “Criminal Mind’s” Latest Agent Luke Alvez
Producer Erica Messer emphasized that the first episode of season 12 will feature BAU’s new agent Luke Alvez, who will be played by Adam Rodriguez in hunting one of the unsubs who attacked his former colleague in the past.

"[The premiere is] really an episode about introducing this new hero and how he fits into our world and why he's such a good fit, and what that means to pretty much everybody who has to embrace a new character, but especially Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness)."

Emily Prentiss Is Back
Yes, Agent Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) returns in the police procedural show and this time, she’s back as a regular character as confirmed by CBS. A report noted that the cast and crew are all thrilled to work with her again.

With her impressive track records in service, is Prentiss an ideal candidate to replace the position left by Hotchner?
