After a week long hiatus, one of the most popular TV drama this season has finally returned with another emotional roller coaster episode. The only emotional reprieve that the fans got in the last episode is that there was no cliffhanger ending.
For the upcoming episode 4 of "This Is Us" titled "The Pool," fans were teased about following the story of Jack and Rebecca's family which many viewers are very curious to know. And after Rebecca's secret was revealed, how will it affect her family?
"This Is Us" Episode 3 Recap
The episode starts with a montage of Randall's biological parents that ended up with William alone inside a bus with a baby in his arms. He was on his way to leave Randall at the fire station because he was already out of options.
Meanwhile, Rebecca and Jack are on their way home from the hospital when she spotted a man watching her from across the street. He knew that the man is his adoptive son's father. Back home, Rebecca had a hard time bonding with his adoptive son Kyle so she seeks the help of the man who was watching her earlier and learned about his story.
William advised her to give him his own name and hands her a book of poetry by Dudley Randall. She then asked him to promise her that he won't look for his son anymore.
Fast forward to the present, Randall told Rebecca that he found his biological father, William. The two met and Rebecca pretended to not know William after Randall introduced them. When Randall left, the two talked about what happened in the past.

Randall does not know about the secret that Rebecca kept from him for years and it will most likely have a huge effect on his relationship with his mom. The next episode will show Rebecca and Jack takes Kevin, Kate, and Randall to the community pool. The episode will also tackle racial issues, particularly when William was mistaken as a loiterer in Randall's predominantly white neighborhood. The episode is also expected to show how the grown-up children of Rebecca are facing their own problems.
