PlayStation VR Out Today; Poised to Challenge HTC Vive and Oculus Rift

The much-anticipated release of the PlayStation's virtual reality console is finally here. The PlayStation VR is Sonny's answer to the popular HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, is now available.

Years ago, Sony began a shift in priority which coincided with the company's restructuring. Sony has decided to train their sights on money-making endeavors such as entertainment, video gaming and camera sensors. While most tech companies are figuring out how to outdo each other's flagship smartphones. Sony's restructuring was completed in June. Since then, the PlayStation VR is the company's first major release.

The PlayStation VR has already made its presence felt after details of the new virtual reality gaming headset are finally at our fingertips. One distinguishable detail about the VR is its mass appeal. The PlayStation VR may be used on the PSVR, PS 4 and PS 4 Pro. In an article in Yahoo Tech, the price of the new device from Sony is pegged at a rather cheap $399 compared to its rivals.

This early, gamers are already heaping praises on the PlayStation VR because of the games that will come with the console. This is not just any list. The list is extensive and features some of the best games around including Batman: Arkham PlayStation VR.

The Oculus Rift, which started off as a successful project in Kickstarter, was bought by Facebook a couple of years ago for a hefty $2 billion price tag. The Rift is equipped with a sensor and an Xbox One controller. The main problem with Oculus Rift is that it can only be used on a PC.

HTC and Valve worked together to give us Vive. Its main feature is a device that requires players to move around. As you move, a front-facing camera will help you keep your eye on the road.
