‘Fifty Shades Darker’ VR Experience Transforms Viewers’ Fantasy Into Reality

The highly controversial movie "Fifty Shades Darker" has a new offer that viewers cannot refuse. Director James Foley is integrating virtual reality technology in the marketing materials of the latest movie sequel and this strategy is expected to be a sure hit among fans of the forthcoming E.L. James adaptation.

Per Deadline, Foley discussed the process of how the virtual reality vision has come to fruition.
“Yeah, there’s marketing materials for behind-the scenes [of Fifty Shades Darker], where after we finished shooting for the day, the actors would stay over and VR people would re-create a facsimile of the scene,” Foley said.

“My own personal instinct is that cinema is going to move to VR because it’s an extension of the visual language,” he said. “For myself, watching the material they generated expanded my brain,” the director elaborated.

With the confirmation of the innovative and modern approach applied in promoting the erotic romantic drama, moviegoers are up for an intense “action.” Their fantasy of Christian Grey and Ana Steele’s sexy love scenes will be brought to life according to Entertainment Weekly.

A report noted that while main actors Jamie Dornan (Christian) and Dakota Johnson (Ana) rose to stardom due to their significant roles in “Fifty Shades Of Grey” accompanied by wild bed scenes, both actors found their roles very difficult and challenging. Johnson admitted the exhausting process of filming the sex scenes with the use of eccentric tools in an environment that is not pleasurable.

Indeed, their roles are tough and demanding but the film’s lovely couple were able to deliver their best performances. With the VR experience that awaits the huge fan base of the popular movie, it will not be a surprise that the entire crew will reap phenomenal success in the box office once "Fifty Shades Darker" hits theaters next year.
