"The Simpsons" has a new feat of reaching the 600th episode in its season 28. With its overwhelming success, "The Simpsons" showrunner disclosed that the animated comedy is definitely not ending soon.

"The Simpsons" season 28, episode 5 titled "Treehouse of Horror XXVII" is the show's 600th episode, and it does not seem to be ending anytime soon. In an interview of The Washington Post with David Silverman, the producer maintained that "The Simpsons" is never ending. He said: "We don't want it to end."

"The Simpsons" To Continue For Over 1000 More Episodes

In fact, Silverman emphasized that his team is willing to go until the 2,000th episode. He made mention of the Warner Bros. achievement with Looney Tunes which first aired in 1930 and ended in 1969. From the looks of it, Silverman is taking a lesson as well from what happened to the closure of the said animated series. He would want to work out the "delivery system" for "The Simpsons" which was lacking in Looney Tunes causing it to be killed.

Maggie Simpson meanwhile jumps right out of bed. The episode ended with a James Bond parody at Moe's bar which happened to be the headquarters of an international spy agency.
