BMW just released the new seventh-generation 5-series, commonly known as the G30, a newly redesigned version of the B5 from the semi-official BMW tuner. A B5 is also planned, which is a high-performance version of the BMW 5-series.

According to Top Speed, the new 5-Series dropped with an expanded collection of all-aluminum six- and four-cylinder powerplant options, and while these engines do offer decent punch, the new B5 will most likely continue to employ the outgoing model's 4.4-liter V8. Equipped with a double dose of turbocharged goodness, the boosted eight-cylinder will see an output of at least 600 horsepower.

The new B5 is a possible option to the irresistible M5 series, offering subtle enrichment, a luxurious, uber-cozy cabin installed with technology and a powerful turbocharged under the hood. If you just can't get enough of the typical issue M5, you would definitely choose Alpina as it stands as one of the most reputable firms with OEM quality and premium performance.

Power is expected to remain at the same B7 levels, which translates into 600hp (608PS) and 590lb-ft (800Nm), figures that are nearly matching those expected by upcoming BMW M5. Alpina is also developing the D5 model which is rumored to use a straight-six diesel with three turbos and a power output of at least 400hp,according to Carscoops.

BMW's new Alpina B5 is not just another prototype as the new M5. Alpina design cues are visible in the car, like the wide, horizontal intake up front, multiple driving modes, and faster dual-exhaust tips at either side of the rear bumper, which makes the car drift its exhaust tips closer to the center.

So basically, the B5 is not far different from the 5 series, however, its exquisite conversion making it enough to stand out in a crowd. Pricing for the new B5 will most likely the M5, coming in at around 115,000 euros, or at least $110,000 possibly more. The Alpina B5 should stroll on the market next year as a 2017 model.
