Pokemon GO Tips And Tricks: Things You Wish You Knew When You Started

Just like any other game, we should be careful in going about everything we do. From saving our inventory items to pondering our chosen quests, we need to tread carefully if we wish to avoid any mistakes that might cause us either a bit or a lot of inconveniences - or worse, change the way we play the game forever. In Pokemon GO, we learn through trial and error, so here are the things we wish we knew when we started Pokemon GO.

Common Sense Is Not That Common

Stardusts are important. The game may seem like it's very generous with the stardusts, giving you a hundred every time you catch a Pokemon so splurging a bit into evolving your starter can be tempting - but frankly a waste. You will get better and stronger Pokemons as you level up; so leveling up your lower level ones is a huge waste of time. So, we suggest saving those stardusts as long as you can.

Don't Immediately Evolve Pokemon. Wait until you have a better and stronger version of the Pokemon you want. If you wish to get to the third tier of evolution immediately, save up the candies enough to help you get there. Instead of evolving the Pokemon you have to the second tier, save more candies for the third one, we suggest collecting for both. This will prevent you from overpassing the level of your Pokemon too much. It's easy to do so with the fast rate your trainer will be leveling.

Pick A Better Lineup. When battling gyms, the game might suggest you a roster of Pokemon; which you might think is the best one. I've fallen for this several times assuming that Pokemon GO picked the best possible roster for me to win. This is not the case if you account for the types these Pokemons are strong and weak against.

Pokemon 'Gym Jackers' Are The New Jerks

In other news, Gym stagnation is now an issue within the Pokemon GO community and it makes the game pretty stale. Gym Jackers who band with other people and have in their possession multiple accounts that help them take over a gym, get it to level 10, and stay there forever is becoming a pretty old scenario. So unless you have lots of friends on the same team as you are, defeating these gyms will require the best Pokemon you have and possibly the most maximum effort you can pull off. Niantic needs to do something about this issue, otherwise, no one's 'going' anywhere with Pokemon GO.
