Driving and playing Pokemon Go is a big no no
This is the first and most important thing to remember, it is important to note that what is meant by commuting or travelling in this article doesn't include driving while playing. It is very obvious why using the phone and driving at the same time is prohibited by law. We don't want any more Pokemon Go related accidents happening. If you feel the need to play the game while driving, especially through good nesting or uncharted areas, it is best if you have a passenger to do it for you. Again, NEVER play while driving.
Airports, terminals, and platforms will be crawling with wild Pokemon
Pokemon Go's map is based on Ingress' database which also means that landmarks are used as points of interest. In Pokemon Go, landmarks are used for PokeStops, terminals and train platforms are landmarks. Ergo, they make good spawn points. When you're travelling, of course you will be moving from place to place. Turning on your Pokemon Go app will help count those distance travelled. All that walking to and from terminals, transferring from plane to a bus or hop on a train from a taxi ride, is a good opportunity make those distances count.
