TWICE Updates: 'TT' Music Video Reaches 5.6M Hits In Less Than 24 Hours; Group To Have First Comeback Performance In 'Weekly Idol'

Korean girl group TWICE has been scheduled to perform their newest dance track "TT" on "Weekly Idol." The girls will appear on the show on Oct. 26 and it will be the first time they will perform the title track from their comeback mini album, "TWICEcoaster: Lane 1." The music video has achieved 5.6 million hits on YouTube as of this writing, less than 24 hours after it was released.

Fans are especially excited to see TWICE interact with "Weekly Idol" MC Jung Hyung Don, whom the members would be seeing for the first time. TWICE had already been on the show before but Jung Hyung Don was on a break that time so this would be their first meeting.

"TT" has been topping music charts and shattering hits since its release on midnight of Oct. 24. The track achieved all kill in music charts and ranked number one on Mnet, Melon, Mnet, Bugs, olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver, and Monkey3 real-time charts as of Oct. 24, 1:30 pm, Soompi reported.

"TT" was created by the same team behind the track "Cheer Up" from the girl group's debut album. It was composed and arranged by Black Eyed Pilseun and Rado, respectively, while the lyrics were written by Sam Lewis.

TWICE is a rookie girl group which debuted under JYP Entertainment in 2015 through the reality show "Sixteen." The nine members of the group include Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. TWICE is the first JYP girl group in six years after miss A debuted in 2010.

Despite controversies about the group's additional members that were chosen from the eliminated contestants of the reality show, TWICE had a massive debut success with their mini-album "The Story Begins" on Oct. 20, 2015. The album's title track, "Like OOH-AHH," recorded 50 million views on YouTube within a week, making it the fastest debut song to achieve the feat.
