Galaxy Note 8 Under Development; Samsung Learns Lessons From Exploding Galaxy Note 7 Phones

Samsung is giving away an extreme promo that will grant Galaxy Note 7 owners the opportunity to trade in their faulty devices to get either a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8 for next year at a discounted price. This just means that Samsung has also unofficially announced the upcoming arrival of the next generation in the Note series. As of now, the promo is still available to customers in South Korea, and it's still uncertain whether it will be launched in other countries affected by the Note 7 issue. As of now the company is still keeping itself quiet about further details about the program.

 Samsung has learned its lesson

As per reports, Note 7 owners who will participate will only have 50% of the costs for the Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge returned when turning in their Note 7s. But when the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8 rolls out, they will then be eligible to exchange their defective devices for either one of the upcoming new flagships. Although things seem unclear, it looks as if Samsung has finally learned its lesson and will be showing confidence in showing to the world that they are still one of the leading smartphone producers in the world. Along with that, it would also confirm that the Note series will not be discontinued anytime soon.

Samsung is going to get back on top anytime next year

This could probably be Samsung's major plan towards making up and encouraging Galaxy Note 7 customers to finally turn in their phablets, since there are still reports that a lot of people are still holding on to their Note 7s despite all the issue that lead to the global recall in order to prevent any more risks of explosion. As for the release dates of Samsung's upcoming new phones, the Galaxy S8 is rumored to be launched in February or March, while the Galaxy Note 8 is going to be released in August or September of next year.
