Pokemon GO News: Ditto, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres Arriving Sooner Than Expected? Gen 2 Pokemon Already Coded In Latest Update?

Gen 2 Pokemon could be arriving sooner than expected. There are reports that data miners have discovered 100 new Pokemon already coded in the latest version 0.45 APK code. Besides the additional Pokemon, a new move has also been added called Transform which is known as a move for Ditto.

Update Includes 100 New Pokemon

Based on reports, the new Pokemon added are indexed as number 152 up to 251 in the Pokedex. This means that the upcoming batch will surely include the 3 legendary Pokemon, Ditto, Ho-Oh, Lugia and of course the 2nd generation starter Pokemon namely Chikorita, Totodile and Cyndaquil. The only question now is when the new Pokemon will be activated.

While the complete list of move sets for generation 2 Pokemon is not yet included, 52 new Pokemon families are already coded which means the code for generation 2 Pokemon is almost complete. Niantic has yet to confirm the reports circulating online and there has been no announcement yet when exactly will they activate the big update.

Generation 2 Pokemon Will Be Activated Soon?

No one really knows when generation 2 Pokemon will be activated except for Niantic. However, avid players are speculating that the official launch can happen within the year. Based on their last update, the daily quest codes were uploaded just weeks before its actual release so it's not entirely impossible that it also happens for this update.

New Code Against Gym Sniping To Be Activated

Gym sniping is one of the primary complaints of many players and it looks like Niantic finally found a solution to fix this with the Lockout System code. This code is said to give an error message when you try to snipe a gym that has just been defeated. It seems to give a millisecond lockout to prevent other players from owning a gym they did not defeat.
