Its worth noting that the company isn't exactly a stranger to adding a new color variant for its flagship devices. This year, the Cupertino company decided to add in the Jet Black variant for the iPhone 7 devices. However, as it turns out, the addition of new colors doesn't end there. As per recent rumors, a Jet White iPhone color might be added to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus series pretty soon.

As per a GSM Arena report, the Jet White color variant could make an appearance very soon. Apple may not be known for releasing something new mid-cycle, but rumors are strong that this Jet White color variant will be for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus and not for the next generation of iPhones. Nevertheless, it's important to take this rumor lightly as this hasn't been verified just yet. This buzz was allegedly from a supplier's party, Macotakara reported.

While adding a new color variant seems more appropriate for an entirely new iPhone series, the rumor strongly points to the current iPhones instead of the supposed iPhone 8. With that said, however, it won't exactly be a surprise if the alleged Jet White variant also reappears in the iPhone 8 series. Hopefully though, the iPhone 8 will not copy a lot of things from the iPhone 7 aside from its color variants.

A lot of negative comments have been given to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus for their lack of major upgrades. While the phones are just as powerful as expected, they copied a lot of things from their predecessors instead of being an entirely different-looking iPhone. Needless to say, Apple may be saving the major things for their anniversary iPhone which is the iPhone 8.
