For months, Civic enthusiasts have followed rumors, teasers and every bit of information about the 2017 Honda Civic. Now, they are about to get a treat as an update on price, release date and everything new for them to look forward to has finally arrived.

2017 Honda Civic's New Turbo Engine

The 2017 Honda Civic will have a turbocharged engine upon its launch. In fact, there will be two to choose from but there will not be one for a diesel at first. Honda is anticipating that the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo, capable of 127 brake horsepower paired with a choice of six-speed manual transmission or CVT automatic gearbox will be its best seller as reported by Auto Express.

The same report stated that a more powerful 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of 180 brake horsepower will also be available with the same option for transmission. The 2017 Honda Civic is also said to be able to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in eight seconds.

Honda Civic enthusiasts can also expect some changes in the 2017 model's looks. Compared to its predecessors, the 2017 Honda Civic has a wider and lower body. It's also lighter by 16kg than the previous models with more headroom as stated by Autocar. In the same report, the fuel economy range is at 41 miles per gallon.

The 2017 Honda Civic has already been released in the U.S. market and carried a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $19,700. Meanwhile, it is expected to reach the British market by March 2017 with an estimated cost of £23,000.
