Audi News And Update: 2018 Is Looking At Eight New RS Models

Where there are only a few options to choose from, the more it makes sense to offer more. This is what Audi is looking to do as it gets ready to introduce eight more RS models by 2018. Audi enthusiasts will certainly have something to look forward to in the coming years as they await the arrival of the new RS models.

The Current RS Models

At present, there are only several models in Audi's RS segment. In a report given by Road and Track, the only RS versions available include the Audi RS TT, A3, A6, A7, Q3 RS, RS 6 and RSQ3. The last two however, are not available in the U.S. market. In the same report, Audi Sport boss Stefan Winkelmann stated that they have a lot of plans but they are not revealing them just yet as it is better to under-promise and over-deliver.

The Same Move As Mercedes-AMG?

According to a report from Jalopnik, this move from Audi is looking a lot like a Mercedes' move where an AMG model is being made available for nearly all cars it makes. It has even reached a point where it has become very hard to keep track of the AMG models because there are now so many out there. Winkelmann on the other hand, was quick to shun the comparison.

Will RS Models Be Available In American Auto Market?

At this point, it is not yet clear which cars Audi has that will be transformed into RS models and whether or not they would be available in the U.S auto market as reported by Jalopnik. The only thing certain for now is that 2018 is looking at eight new RS models from Audi. With that being said, the future seems to be looking bright for Audi and its enthusiasts as they have a lot to look forward to.
