Bethesda can't deny the fact that fans want The Elder Scrolls 6. They want it so badly that they're willing to hear every word that comes out from the developers. As interesting as it may seem, the studio continues to iterate that the title is still nowhere close to development. Well, there could be some truth to this. After all, they're busy putting all their resources and focus on Skyrim Remastered. But, if this is the case, is it possible that the latter title might have an impact on the very existence of the sixth installment?
Why Bethesda Is Delaying The Elder Scrolls 6
As previously reported here at iTech Post, Bethesda's very own Pete Hines pointed out that no one in their team is working on The Elder Scrolls 6. And this is to be taken literally, obviously, it means that any development (if there is at all) might have been put on a halt. Somehow, there's a possible reason to this. The studio has announced in the past that they'll be working on two brand new IPs first prior to ramping things up with TES6.
On another perspective, the recent arrival of Skyrim Remastered might be a factor -- a huge one to be exact -- for The Elder Scrolls 6. There's that angle where the devs are simply busy on it and perhaps will call it a day once everything settles. Or, which is a hard one to chew, Bethesda just simply has no plans for the title -- yet. Maybe, just maybe, they're doing it so as to get some feedback and know what exactly the community is expecting for the game.
The Connection Between The Elder Scroll 6 And Skyrim Remastered
There are talks within the community that The Elder Scrolls 6 has something to do with Skyrim Remastered. That the latter was release for the reason, among others, of it being a template. That, in one way or another, it'll help the video game company understand what everyone's expectation is. Besides, it's a surefire way to get the players back to the hype, as the current installment has long been in existence. The remastered version might just fuel the fire that fans once had for the series.
Possible Release Date For The Elder Scrolls 6
There's no better way to put this, but it's very unlikely for The Elder Scrolls 6 to arrive soon. Probably 4 to 5 years from now, yeah. Or perhaps the studio has already started on its development but is not looking to release the game in the next 2 years or so. Nonetheless, players are still hoping that it'll arrive sometime in 2019. Heck, there were players who suggest that Bethesda might just drop it as a big reveal once E3 2017 comes. This is where things could get very tricky.
