This is a feature that first came to the Nexus gadgets when the Android 7.0 Nougat beta replaces were released. However, it somehow disappeared, and people have been waiting for this new feature since then. Currently, the Night Mode feature appears on each Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones, which are going for walks on Android 7.1 Nougat. This additional capacity that Google Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X will keep waiting till the new Android Nougat model coming for these 2015 Nexus devices.

If some reports are right, the Night Mode function is on its way to coming in Android 7.1 Nougat update for Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Bring Back Night Mode is what the customers of these devices hoping to see, and the tech massive have indicated that they will carry it returned in the subsequent update, which might be on the Android 7.1 Nougat OS.Fortunately, however, the Night Mode feature itself was actually still present within the final release of 7.0 Nougat, though it was hidden.

Even though there are many apps that can flip on the Night Mode in an Android device. However, it's continually better to have an inbuilt function of the OS as an alternative than downloading any other app to be using on phone.

As for now, the Android 7.1 Nougat Update is not yet official. Google Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X users on these devices' should wait for the confirmed date.
