NBA Trade Rumors: Philadelphia 76ers Trading Nerlens Noel To Celtics Or Raptors; Warriors Letting Go Of Klay Thompson To The Pacers?

The current NBA trade rumors are focused on the possibility of Nerlens Noel being traded by the Philadelphia 76ers to either the Boston Celtics or the Toronto Raptors. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson of the Washington Warriors is seemingly on the trading block as well. His team is rumored to have ongoing talks with the Indiana Pacers in a blockbuster seven-player deal.

Failing To Reach The Contract Extension Has Its Consequences

According to the Boston Globe, Nerlens Noel was not able to reach an agreement on his contract extension for fourth-year players when the NBA deadline has passed. Gary Washburn, who reported the situation, hinted that even if Noel will be a free agent with restrictions in 2017, his team will more than likely let go of its often injured first-round draft choice.

"It was notable that the 76ers didn't come close to striking a deal with center Nerlens Noel, who could have earned a deal in the $70 million range because of his potential, especially defensively, "wrote Washburn. "But it seems the 76ers have decided to move Noel, who will now be a restricted free agent this summer," he added.

Klay Thompson Continues To Be On The Rumor Mill

Meanwhile, it appears that Klay Thompson still figures in a lot of these NBA trade rumors. The current prediction is that the Warriors are talking with the Indiana Pacers for Thompson's future in the NBA. Some rumors have indicated that he is currently the odd man out in his team with Kevin Durant now in tow. He also is currently having troubles in his shooting percentage.

There are also other NBA trade rumors that say the Indiana Pacers have Paul George on the trading block. A report from the SB nation hinted that if the team's losing streak continues and its chemistry issues are not resolved, George may opt to join another team that he thinks has more chances of getting to the playoffs. With Thompson joining the Pacers, will the Pacers feel George's absence?
