There are only a few days left before the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show kicks off. A lot of people are already anticipating the debut of different vehicles from the biggest automakers. With that being said, Chevrolet adds more to the list with its 2018 Equinox. The upcoming 2016 LA Auto show just got more exciting with another big player making a grand entrance.

2018 Chevy Equinox Powertrain

Auto Spies reported that the 2018 Chevy Equinox has three turbocharged engine lined up for it, two of which are petrol and the other is diesel. They come in 1.5-litre and 2.0-liter turbo petrol and the last one is the 1.6-liter turbo diesel capable of 136 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. All of which are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It was mentioned in the same report that the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox will be the first North American model that has a multi-engine propulsion line-up that are all charged with turbo.

Design And Features

The design of the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox features a horizontal taillight, daytime running LED lamps and a standard projector-beam headlamps as reported by Car Scoops. The interior has a new flat-folding rear seat with new fabrics and the latest technology in connectivity from Chevrolet that includes CarPlay and Android Auto Support from the seven and eight inch MyLink infotainment system and OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.

Safety Features

The 2018 Chevy Equinox is also equipped with safety features such as new surround vision, safety alert seat, forward collision alert with following distance indicator, low speed forward automatic braking, lane assist with lane departure warning, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, rear seat reminder and rear cross traffic alert.

The LA Auto Show Debut

The 2018 Chevy Equinox is definitely one to look forward to in the 2016 LA Auto Show where it is set to make its big debut. This adds to the long list of vehicles set to debut in the upcoming Nov. 18 to 27 event.
