Mercedes-Benz Brings 'Luxury' A New Meaning With Its Maybach S650

Mercedes-Benz is known as one of the most luxurious brands in the auto industry. Now, the automaker brings "luxury" a new meaning with its Maybach S650. The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 is set to make a debut at the 2016 LA Auto Show in a few days. Prior to its debut, a teaser has been released and fans are getting more excited to meet the new embodiment of luxury.

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 Teaser

According to a report from Motor Trend, a short video was posted via Facebook that showed how luxurious the 2017 Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet will be. The video showed a four-seat convertible with a cabin upholstered with a semi-aniline leather. The teaser also suggested that the luxurious 2017 Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 will come in a limited edition of 300 units as reported by Road and Track.

The Mecedez-Benz Maybach S650 Specs

It is assumed that the Mercedes-Maybach S650 is coming with an engine more powerful than the twin-turbo V12 found in the S600 model. Motor trend stated that a 4.7-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine capable of 449 horsepower will likely come with the Mercedes-Maybach S650 and it will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Price For The Limited Edition Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650

A report from Digital Trends stated that out of the 300 units of the Maybach S650, only 100 of them will be allocated for the U.S. market. Buyers will have to fall quickly in line if they want to get their hands on the vehicle that brings "luxurious" a new meaning. The price has not yet been revealed but given the base price of the S600 model being at $191,000, it would be reasonable for the S650 model to go around $250,000 as mentioned in the same report.

The Mercedes-Benz Maybach S650 will make its official debut at the LA Auto Show 2016. Buyers can get a closer look at the new luxurry car on Nov. 18, 2016 at the LA Convention Center.
