Dwayne Johnson, otherwise famously known as "The Rock," has a song number as he voices one of the characters in the upcoming Disney film entitled "Moana." As versatile as he is as an actor, he still feels nervous and pressured at times like these.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson Talks About Singing In Upcoming Disney Film, "Moana"

In a recent interview with the actor, Dwayne Johnson revealed that he has a song number in the upcoming Disney film, "Moana" and he is actually feeling nervous about it. However, it does help that he sings to his baby daughter, making it slightly easier for him to do a song number in the movie. Johnson voices over the movie's character known as Maui, demigod of wind and the sea, also known as the hero of men.

Singing In A Disney Film Adds More Pressure To The Actor As Opposed To Other Projects

According to the actor, this won't be the first time that he sings in a film. In his other previous projects, he was able to sing, dance, and even play musical instruments. However, "Moana" ignites more pressure in him since it is a Disney film and that he just feels honoured and rewarding to be a part of something this big. Disney movies have always had the best singers with the best voices in all of their films, thus increasing pressure in the actor in being able to portray the role, let alone sing it.

When they recorded for the song number, which according to the actor took six hours, he was later praised for his performance. As nerve-wracking as it was, he felt thankful having been part of such an amazing Disney movie that could definitely inspire others as well in boosting their confidence, and believing in what they have the opportunity to do. Johnson has always been known by the public eye for being a wrestler, an athlete and all the manly beings, but never a singer. Thus, portraying this role and being able to do it well makes him feel better about himself more now than it used to before.
