In an interview with the actor portraying the role of Wally, Keiynan Lonsdale, he revealed that the visions he has about becoming a speedster will become a great challenge for him since it is a validation that he is indeed a speedster and this may cause conflict between him and Barry/The Flash. Everyone else in the team doesn't want him to become a metahuman, thus steering him away from any danger that it brings. However, Wally is not as afraid as everyone else and has always wanted this for a while now.

"The Flash" returns tonight and only time will tell how Wally will react to the idea of becoming a speedster.
