"The Big Bang Theory" season 10, episode 9 titled "The Geologist Elevation" has been spoiled to test Sheldon's sanity. As the trailer reveals, Sheldon is jealous over Bert scoring a research grant. Apart from Brian Posehn, guest stars this week include Stephen Hawking as himself and John Ross Bowie as Kripke.
Sheldon Jealous Of Bert
Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) just cannot handle the thought that someone he considers inferior to himself scores a research grant. Sheldon is extremely jealous of Bert (guest star Brian Posehn) winning the $500,000 MacArthur Genius Fellowship Grant. Bert is Amy's (Mayim Biyalik) colleague who works as a geologist at Caltech. While holding a rock, Sheldon puts it: "If rock is so great, how can paper beat it?"
Sheldon seeks Leonard's (Johnny Galecki) comfort about how he feels Bert beating him. Later on, the buddies go back to Apartment 4B with Sheldon already dilapidated, panicky and screaming, "I was trying to let go of anger and throw a rock on my foot." The ladies will be caught off-guard. Sheldon still has the upper right hand though because he has Amy, and Bert is jealous about it.
Stephen Hawking Visits
On the other hand, physicist/cosmologist Stephen Hawking has been confirmed to appear on the show as himself. Latest "The Big Bang Theory" spoilers reveal that Hawking will show up along with guest stars John Ross Bowie as Kripke and Bert. With regard to their scene, the gang will communicate with Hawking who will reveal that he is not happy since he never won a Nobel Prize. The official synopsis reveals Howard Wolovitz (Simon Helberg) "finds an old remote control Stephen Hawking action figure he invented." Later, Bert wonders if he can get a grant for Howard, too, which makes Sheldon angry all the more.
