Infinity Ward has announced the details regarding the double XP weekend event of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer mode. Aside from the double XP, the event also covers double XP in weapons. In addition, Infinity Ward will be hosting a studio live stream an hour after the official start of the event.

According to the report from Express, the double XP event of Infinite Warfare will start at 6PM GMT today and will be running throughout the weekend. This will be a great opportunity to grind and get your ranks up without inducing a lot of time and effort since both player and weapon ranks will be boosted during the event.

For those who are uninitiated, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Multiplayer allows players to customize their play in more variety of ways compared before since the new title applies more optimization on the weapons and gears that can cater the players' style of play. Infinite Warfare also introduced more advanced tools used for war such as unique prototype weapons, combat rigs and high-tech equipment.

Gamasutra mentions that the Multiplayer Mode offers in-depth gaming experience to fans where everything including weapons, gears, lethals and tacticals have been constructed around on different play styles. In addition, fans are given freedom to combine these elements whenever and whatever they want.

The latter mode features applied on Call of Duty: Black Ops such as unparalleled customization pooled with fluid momentum-based movement system has evolved on Infinite Warfare. The new title now offers a custom-fit for the new combat in order to build a frenetic gameplay experience.

On the other hand, the multiplayer mode also offers a reward system called Salvage which drops some pieces in order to build an upgraded version of the players' respective weapons.
