Pokemon Go Update: New Tracking Feature Needs More Improvement

Rumors, updates and feature suggestions about Niantic's augmented reality game Pokemon Go have always been present from day-to-day situation. As previously reported, Niantic extended the coverage of the new Nearby Tracking System which was only available in San Francisco. Apparently, it has been opened on some other areas. As a result, it was highly expected that the new Tracking Feature will be released to the public soon.

According to the report from International Business Times, it has been months since Pokemon Go's Three-step Tracker has been replaced by Sightings feature that somehow works similarly to the latter tracker but there is no indication of how near the nearby wild Pokemon appeared in the Sightings menu. As a result, several players were frustrated on the new tracker and wishes to bring a more stable and specific tracking system.

Along with the Sightings feature, Niantic also proposed another tracker that enable players to track Pokemon the moment they are close to a PokeStop. This feature will help those players in urban areas whenever they are hunting Pokemon in the wild. However, there are only a few areas where the Nearby Tracking was made available. In addition, players from rural areas might still struggle on this new feature due to the lack of PokeStops.

Meanwhile, it was suggested that Niantic should fix the lack of PokeStop issue as soon as possible. For those who are uninitiated, the new Nearby Tracking System will show nearby Pokemon on a particular PokeStop. By clicking into one of the icon, it would show a brid's eyeview of the map and pointed out the exact location of the said Pokemon.

On the other hand, Niantic has recently released Ditto into the game. However, it is a bit elusive as the mimic Pokemon has the ability to transform into a commonly spawned Pokemon such as Pidgey, Rattata and Zubat.
