‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12 Spoilers, News And Updates: Where Is The Real Gabriel? Gibson's Fate Revealed

Reunions are oftentimes very happy events. But sometimes they aren't. Take the one that will happen in the upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 12. Tara was supposed to meet her brother. But when they meet, she notices something different about him. How did their reunion go?

Tara Senses That There's Something Strange

Tara, played by Aisha Tyler, is supposed to have a reunion with her brother in "Criminal Minds" Season 12. But it appears that the things happened were unexpected. In the next episode, which will be shown on Wednesday next week, she would be meeting, not her original brother, but most probably an impostor, played by Alimi Ballard. But he goes by the name of Gabriel as well.

Tara immediately senses that something is wrong since she truly knows what her brother is like. However, the man who introduced himself as his brother was adamant in claiming that he is indeed her brother. In the upcoming episode of "Criminal Minds" Season 12, he will even recount many details in the life of Tara and her family.

The question now is: Where is the true Gabriel if this man is just an impostor? Is the real Gabriel still alive? A teaser of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 shows Gabriel, played by Terrence Terrell appears to be alive, but has been tied to a chair. A report from Yahoo indicated that he might have been kidnapped.

Another Main Character Is Missing

In a related development, a main character of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 will not be seeing action any longer. Episode 6 of the show will explain that Aaron Hotchner has resigned from the BAU and is not really on a special assignment. He is supposed to have entered the protection program to protect him from a known serial killer who is stalking him relentlessly. So, that seems to be the way the showrunners will explain his permanent absences from the show.
