New Weapon For Battlefield 1 Accidentally Leaked By The Game's Artist

ArtStation is home for artists to show their creations and whatnot for the public to view - it's like a DeviantArt or Flickr for that matter. And just recently, the lead weapon artist of Battlefield 1 may have just inadvertently leaked an upcoming weapon of the game.

Battlefield 1 New Weapon: Grenade Launcher?

Peter Olofsson Hermanrud, the lead weapon artist of Battlefield 1 has shared some of his arts in ArtStation which shows some of the in-game weapons including one for the Medic class, the Harlem Hellfighters for the Assault class and the T.E Lawrence Rifle for the Scout. By simply adding up all three weapons, it's safe to say that these arts were made by Mr. Hermanrun - including the fourth picture of an unknown weapon.

If you browse across all of the pictures submitted by the artist, you'll notice a Crossbow Grenade Launcher that's still unavailable in the game. Now, it's very plausible that this concept art will be released together with the future DLC pack but it is also possible that EA will scrape out the idea completely. Nonetheless, it's not a far-fetched reality that we will be seeing this weapon in the game given the fact that grenade launchers are fairly common in most FPS titles.

The Possibility of Grenade Launcher

Westie stated that just by simply looking at the details of the picture, one can actually see how remarkably intricate the art is and that it takes a lot of time and effort to create the finish product to not include it in the actual game -- despite the ambiguity of the existence of such device way back in World War 1. Even if the weapon cannot be classified as a primary one, it's very helpful nonetheless; launching grenades from afar to obliterate your enemies especially when you're assaulting an open space.

What do you think of the Crossbow Grenade Launcher? Do you think it'll go live together with the upcoming DLC pack? Share your thoughts in the comments down below!
