‘Attack On Titan’ Season 2 Latest News And Updates: Premiere Release Date Of Upcoming Season Announced

The recently unveiled wraparound jacket of "Attack on Titan" season 2 has revealed that it will be aired in April 2017. This season has suffered a long delay and its premiere was postponed a number of times. Previously, it was announced that it will be released in Nov. 2014, and then in 2016. Hopefully, this show will finally be seen by its many fans next year.

The Second Season Has Long Been Delayed

The first episode of "Attack on Titan" debuted in April 2013 and went on air until September of the same year. It was a successful hit and has garnered massive viewership all over the world. After the last episode of season one ended, fans were left hanging as to when the next season will be released. It's been three years and the fans are clamoring for the next episode.

Two online streaming sites have aired "Attack on Titan." Crunchyroll and Funimation have streamed season one in Japan. Funimation released it in video form in 2014. Season one of the show also inspired two films, one in 2014 and another in 2015.

What Fans Can Expect In Season 1 Episode 1

In "Attack on Titan" season 2, the mysteries surrounding the powers of Eren and the Titans will be unveiled. The soldiers will launch an attack to defeat the Titans and lives will be sacrificed so that the majority could live. The upcoming season will see the death of a favorite character of the show.

Erwin Smith, the Commander of the 13th Scout Regimen will be killed by the Titans in "Attack on Titan" season 2. Smith will be seen only in episode 1 of the upcoming season. With his death, Eren will have a stronger motivation to crush all the Titans that inhabit the other side of the walls. Will he be successful in his mission in this upcoming season?
