War against the giants is on! Attack on Titan Season 2 anime release date is coming soon on April 2017! FUNimation has procured the licensing of the anime series and was excited to announced its premiere date next year.
AoT Season 2 was broadcast as early as November 2014, and it targeted a 2016 release date. Regrettably, that did not occur after a series of delays. Now, it looks like Attack on Titan Season 2 is all set to entertain fans once again.
The first season of AoT anime series became an international hit. The first 25 episodes were readily available for online streaming on Hulu. But by the time the first season ended, plans for the second one become gloomy and dubious. However, the manga series continues to dominate the web attracting new readers, and even adapting other versions aside from the anime.
Caused Of The Attack On Titan Season 2 Delay
According to past reports, one of the main grounds of Attack on Titan Season 2 was delayed was because director Tetsuro Araki was busy working on "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress." Others believe that AoT Season 2 has not reached the agreed for the production to start. Regardless of any conditions, the second season came at a very slow rate. Did the anime series cut short before it could even attract more viewers? The EVP and COO of FUNimation, Mike DuBoise, said "Attack on Titan' is one of those rare titles that has reached true cult status with anime fans. It's been more than 3 years since the last episode of 'Attack on Titan' Season 1 and passion from its fans has not waned. We look forward to premiering it on FunimationNow."
Attack on Titan Season 2 will have its premiere in Japan on April 2017. Yet, it is unclear whether a telecast will happen with one of their international network partners, FUNimation has not validated simulcasting. In 2013 during the Attack on Titan Season 1 debut, Crunchyroll aired televise of the series in English dub.
